• Modeled plasma oscillation damping using fractional calculus, deriving a parameter-coefficient relationship that significantly reduced the computational complexity compared to traditional particle-in-cell simulations.

• Conduct research in computational physics, plasma physics, high-field laser technology, and electrodynamics, and also apply data visualization and programming techniques for result analysis.
• Simulated electromagnetic wave propagation using Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD) in vacuum, dielectric, and lossy dielectric media with hard, soft, and absorbing boundary conditions.
• Derive the 3D Gaussian Beam laser theory under a cylindrical coordinate, and the 2D Gaussian Beam laser theory under a Cartesian coordinate. Compare the difference in the solution of the wave equation.
• Implemented a 1D particle-in-cell (PIC) simulation of two-stream instability in plasma, illustrating how relative drift between species leads to the excitation of plasma waves.
